How does Clenergy EV help make charging “easy and stress-free”?

The company helps manage electric vehicle charging stations for CPOs, businesses, fleets, local councils, and installers. What projects is Clenergy EV currently working on?

Clenergy EV offers a software with a range of tools to facilitate the management of charging points.

“Admins can easily manage everything from one simple platform. They can handle maintenance remotely, set different prices for different users, check detailed billing reports, and much more,” the company explains to Mobility Portal Europe.

“Our software is designed to resolve or ease any challenges faced by those managing multiple chargers,” they add.

It’s worth noting that Clenergy EV is open to partnering with new companies to continue facilitating electric vehicle (EV) charging.

“Anyone in the EV charging industry understands the importance of partnerships, and it’s one of our core principles and main reasons for maintaining OCPP compliance.”

They continue: “EV installers, hardware manufacturers, and eMobility partners are key to bringing our solutions to as many people as possible.”

Interestingly, for hardware manufacturers, partnering with a software provider can help provide a competitive edge in a crowded market, and create a unique selling proposition to stand out and “own” different customer groups.

“With options to rely on a trusted provider with Clenergy-branded software or to take a white-label option and provide the full solution to your clients, software partnerships have never been more important or accessible,” they highlight.

It’s worth mentioning that they recently announced a new partnership.

“Our latest partnership with Rexel UK and Denmans Electrical will see physical vouchers for our software licences sold in-store to EV installers across the country,” the company explains.

“Making software accessible is a key part of what we are trying to achieve at Clenergy EV, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible for installers to experience the benefits of the software for their offerings and businesses,” they add.

The agreement will initially be trialled in ten branches: Aberdeen, Bangor, Bath, Cardiff, Chippenham, Enfield, Hull, Falkirk, Peterborough, and Denmans Taunton.

However, plans to expand beyond these stores are underway.

How does Clenergy EV help facilitate charging?

The company offers top-class software solutions and services for charge point operators, fleet, workplaces, local councils, EV installers, and more.

In this regard, given the wide range of target audiences, the challenges faced by consumers are vast and varied.

“A fleet manager looking to transition from combustion engine vehicles to electric ones will face different challenges compared to those in the public sector providing charging for the public,” the company explains.

They continue: “But the common denominator among all our customers is the need to address the human factor behind EV charging, and to reinforce the idea that it can be easy and stress-free.”

Even though 99% of electric journeys are under 100 miles, range anxiety and charge anxiety are real, and “deterrents” to those adopting electric vehicles.

That’s why Clenergy is determined to show that charging can be easy, both through educating about the current state of the industry and by identifying and addressing areas for improvement.

An example of how they have achieved this is through their eMobility offering.

Through a string of deals with competitor networks, they have provided drivers with access to a range of popular charging providers, as well as allowing drivers from other networks to access their chargers.

As a result, the company has expanded its offering to provide charging at over 250,000 points in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe, making it more accessible to everyone.

What projects is Clenergy EV working on?

The company is constantly looking for ways to make electric vehicle charging easier.

This means listening to customers and using their technology to find solutions to common problems they face.

One of the current projects on the horizon includes a fleet card that combines depot and public charging, making the transition to electric vehicles easier by providing extensive and simple off-site availability.

Clenergy EV is also working on double dynamic load management: an upgrade to their charging management packages to allow more energy to be provided to sites during peak hours.

This means that chargers can run at higher speeds and operators can install more equipment to make their existing sites more efficient while avoiding high costs for electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Finally, the company is working on a servicing & maintenance package for existing customers, providing an all-in-one management and service system to offload some of the operational challenges in managing chargers.

This includes annual site visits to ensure that chargers operate in accordance with regulations, as well as ad-hoc maintenance by their team of experienced engineers.

“We always have new developments on the horizon, but we hope these projects can further benefit our existing clients,” says Clenergy.

It’s worth mentioning that their clients include CPOs, employers, fleet leasing companies, and critical national infrastructure such as police, fire services, transport, utilities, pharmaceuticals, and the NHS.

Some of their notable clients include the University of Oxford, Nottingham City Council, Scania, the Wincanton Group, GSK, NHS hospitals, RyanAir, and the Duchy of Cornwall.

Additionally, one of Clenergy EV’s most notable projects comes from Nottingham City Council.

Starting their transition to eMobility in 2016, the council chose Clenergy EV as their software provider, attributing this decision to a total annual saving of one million pounds and 1,162 tonnes of CO2 since then.

Using the software for their fleet, they were able to identify poor charging habits among their drivers, including connecting large vehicles during peak hours.

Using data analytics from their software, the company noticed this trend and switched to charging vehicles during more economical night hours, helping to account for a significant portion of their savings.

Elsewhere, Scania UK used Clenergy EV’s software to support national expansion: from five executive-only sites to planning 45 across the UK.

“One of our main strengths as a software provider is that our solutions are transferable between use cases and offer different benefits for different audiences. Whatever your need, we have a solution for you,” says Clenergy EV.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the company is not limited to a single location or a handful of markets but is global.

“We currently operate in various languages and currencies, but we are always looking for opportunities to expand and are happy to open our solutions to even more regions,” they state.
