According to the agreement, users will be able to access the InstaVolt network in the United Kingdom (UK) using the OVO CHarge App.
Electric vehicle (EV) drivers will then also benefit from discounted rates through OVO’s public charging solution, Charge Anywhere. The latter offers up to 15 per cent savings on pay-as-you-go rates.
it is worth mentioning that InstaVolt recently opened its “Superhub” in Winchester, with 44 rapid charging points, each capable of delivering up to 160 kilowatts of power.
The site also has its own solar farms and four megawatts of cutting-edge battery storage technology.
The company says that it now has nearly 2,000 rapid chargers in the country and that it plans to increase its network to 11,000 units in the UK and Ireland by 2030.
Simon Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at InstaVolt, states: “This partnership with OVO is part of a broader collaboration, where OVO will utilise our network of chargers to encourage drivers to use the Charge app and benefit from a better experience.”
He continues: “By working with us, OVO is supporting EV drivers with a seamless charging experience. It’s a win-win—benefiting businesses, customers, and the wider push towards sustainable transport.”
