Atlante, in partnership with Sogemi, the operator of Milan’s wholesale markets on behalf of the City Council, has inaugurated an ultrafast charging station at the Milan Food Market.
The facility features 10 high-power charging points, each with a capacity of 300 kW, designed for electric vehicles including cars and vans operating in the area.
The infrastructure allows a full recharge within minutes, enhancing logistics and mobility at this strategic hub.
Atlante was already present at the market with 4 chargers of 60 kW and 2 of 22 kW, now supplemented by this new ultrafast station.
The installation includes a protective canopy designed by Bertone Design, made from recyclable and reusable materials, ensuring safe charging in adverse weather conditions.
Parking spaces are optimised for commercial vehicles, with specific configurations and heights for vans, and are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Payment methods include POS terminals, enabling a quick and secure charging process.
Gabriele Tuccillo, CEO of Atlante Italy, stated: “We are proud to inaugurate this new station today in the heart of the Sogemi market, a strategic node for mobility and logistics in the city of Milan. Strengthening the network at key points like this not only facilitates the transition to electric mobility but also provides concrete support to those working daily in vital sectors of the urban economy. Our mission is to make charging accessible, fast and sustainable exactly where it is needed most, thus contributing to a more modern and liveable city.”
