UTA Edenred, a leading mobility service provider in Europe, is partnering with Portuguese charging point operator (CPO) Powerdot to expand its European public charging network.
UTA eCharge electromobility solution users can now access around 8,000 Powerdot charging points in France, Spain, Belgium and Poland.
The Powerdot stations join UTA Edenred’s growing public network, which features more than 925,000 points in 28 European countries.
Powerdot charging stations support passenger cars and light transport vehicles.
Each station is equipped with Combined Charging System (CCS) and Type 2 charging plugs as well as CHAdeMO plugs, which allow up to 200 kW ultra-fast charging.
All facilities are located near supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and other highly trafficked destinations, for maximum convenience.
Stations can be quickly and easily located via the UTA eCharge smartphone app. Charging transactions can be conveniently settled via a UTA eCard or the UTA eCharge app.
Pierre Jalady, General Manager Mobility EMEA at Edenred and CEO of UTA Edenred, says: “Our network provides customers with exceptionally dense coverage for the most efficient EV experience, be it locally or on a cross-country journey.”
“The cooperation with Powerdot – the largest independent charging operator in Europe – significantly enhances our offering,” he adds.
Luis Santiago Pinto, CEO of Powerdot, states: “Our mission is to provide fast and ultra-fast charging wherever people shop, dine and travel.“
He continues: “The collaboration with UTA Edenred makes it even easier for drivers to access charging facilities while going about their daily lives. This partnership reinforces our shared goal: making electric mobility more seamless, accessible and practical for all.”
