The Spark Alliance, the first-of-its-kind partnership between four of the continent’s leading operators –Atlante, Electra, Fastned, and IONITY – is now available for all electric vehicle (EV) drivers, taking the first step as Europe’s largest and most trusted charging network.
From this month, Spark Alliance stations will be integrated into the native apps of the four member companies.
Practically, this means each member’s app will display the locations of all Spark Alliance charging stations: a total of 1,700 locations, each promising the gold standard in public EV charging.
This initial stage will make it quick and simple to find a Spark Alliance member station on the road – giving confidence to drivers ahead of the summer holiday season.
Feature rollout will continue in phases, with enhanced features arriving step by step, bringing Europe’s EV drivers to a truly unified, trusted, and future-ready charging network.
About Spark Alliance’s history
Formed in April 2025, the Spark Alliance brings together four fully independent, pure-play charge point operators (CPOs).
Atlante, Electra, Fastned, and IONITY are working together to offer EV drivers a seamless, high-quality charging experience – reliable, easy to access, and powered by 100% renewable energy.
As integration deepens, drivers will be able to start and pay for charging sessions at any of the over 1,700 sites and 11,000 charging points across more than 25 countries using their preferred app, without extra registrations or downloads.
The user experience will smoothly evolve as technical integration continues to advance.
Atlante, Electra, Fastned and IONITY share the mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility and drive a fossil-free future.
By uniting forces, they are removing key barriers to EV ownership and enabling seamless EV travel across Europe, whether for daily commutes, business trips or special holiday journeys.
