Be.EV, a UK-based electric vehicle (EV) charging network operator, in collaboration with Wesleyan, a financial services mutual serving professionals such as doctors, teachers and dentists, has installed 16 ultra-rapid charging bays at Gallaghber Retail Park, situated just off Junction 9 of the M6 motorway in Wednesbury.
The project was designed to deliver tangible value to both the retail tenants and EV drivers.
The site offers 150 kilowatts charging facilities within a 50,000 sq ft retail park that features major brands such as Decathlon, Costa and B&M.
Mitchell Spencer FRICS, who led the deal on behalf of Wesleyan, highlighted the benefits the installation has brought to the retail environment.
From the initial discussions to the switch-on, the project was developed with a focus on scalability, retail estate modernisation and readiness for the continued growth of electric mobility, as outlined in the official release.
