Croatia’s Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund announced on Monday that it will allocate 21.2 million euros (24.7 million dollars) in subsidies to companies for the purchase of electric (BEV) or hydrogen-powered vehicles.
Financial incentives will range from 2,500 to 9,000 euros per car, or up to 40% of the vehicle’s price.
Each company may apply for subsidies for the purchase of multiple units, with a maximum co-financing limit of 90,000 euros.
Freight transport and taxi companies will be excluded from this call, as they will instead have access to a separate co-financing programme.
The application start date will be announced at a later time, the Fund stated.
The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund is the central body for collecting and investing extra-budgetary resources in environmental protection, energy efficiency, and renewable energy programmes and projects.
