Milence New Charging Hub in Italy

Milence, the joint venture between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP, and Volvo Group, announces its arrival in Piacenza, Italy.

Located along the Mediterranean Corridor of the Trans-European Transport (TEN-T) Network, this new hub will support one of Europe’s most important freight routes, connecting southern Spain with Hungary and beyond.

Situated just off Italy’s A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole), the Piacenza hub is ideally positioned for long-distance journeys between Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, and Naples, providing essential infrastructure along this key national corridor.

Phase 1 will feature four Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers, four charging bays, and on-site facilities such as toilets and a shower.

“We are here to drive zero-emission transport forward – one hub at a time,” says Milence.

Milence is committed to build and operate 1,700 high-capacity public charging points in Europe by 2027, accelerating the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles.

“We are committed to building the largest charging network for electric heavy-duty trucks in Europe,” says Anja Van Niersen, CEO of Milence.
