The 111th electric bus of Abellio has started operating on the route 111.
This electric fleet, operating on the route 111, consists of Wrightbus Electroliner vehicles and will be based at Abellio’s Twickenham depots.
The Wrightbus Electroliners were designed with customer comfort in mind, featuring a high-performance interior filled with innovative features, similar to those on Abellio’s Route 63.
The buses also come equipped with high-backed seats that have USB chargers and phone holders, allowing customers to stay connected during their journey.
“The seats have been carefully designed to be comfortable and accessible, with priority seating and a wider area for wheelchairs and strollers,” says Abellio.
They add: “Onboard digital signage provides real-time information, such as the time to the next stop, disruptions, space on the next bus, and updates on metro, Overground, and DLR services. There is specific signage for the wheelchair area, making it easier for customers in this space to access the information they need.”
Jon Eardley, Managing Director of Abellio London, remarks, “We are delighted that our 111th electric bus has started serving London on route 111. Abellio is leading the way in providing cleaner and more comfortable electric transport for our customers. We are incredibly proud of this milestone for our business.”
