Alpitronic, an Italian manufacturer of fast charging stations, has opened a new development centre in Ottobrunn, near Munich in Germany, as mentioned by the company in a press release.
The fifth R&D location, whose official inauguration has already taken place, is dedicated to software and system development and is complemented with field sales expertise.
“The location was chosen due to the proximity to renowned universities and the attractiveness and accessibility of the Munich area,” say representatives from Alpitronic.
“Three of the four founders from South Tyrol, CEO Philipp Senoner, CTO Andreas Oberrauch, and Power Cycling Director Sigrid Zanon, are alumni of the Technical University of Munich and therefore have a personal connection to the university and the city,” they add.
Currently, seven permanent employees and three interns are working there.
“By the end of 2024, our goal is to expand our team with an additional 11 full-time positions to drive the development of new products and the growth of our company to the maximum,” comments Philipp Senoner, CEO and co-founder of the company.
He continues: “The existing experience and education that potential employees bring to the Munich area will enrich our team and contribute to the excellence and advancement of our products.”
It is worth noting that by the end of 2023, the company already had headquarters in Bolzano and Bergamo in Italy and in Charlotte in the United States.
This was followed by the opening of a development office in Bologna in January of this year.
