Austria has officially opened its largest electric vehicle (EV) charging hub to date, located in the town of Amstetten.
Developed by EVN Austria in collaboration with Ladewerke Amstetten, the facility spans 3,000 square metres and is positioned near the Amstetten West motorway exit, ensuring convenient access for both local users and long-distance travellers.
The site is equipped with a high-performance mix of charging infrastructure supplied by Ekoenergetyka.
The installation includes six SAT400 units, three Axon Side DLBS, and two Axon Easy 240 chargers, offering scalable and flexible capacity to support a wide range of electric vehicles, from passenger cars to heavy-duty transport.
In addition to the technical features, the charging hub provides several on-site amenities aimed at enhancing user experience.
These include restrooms, a children’s playground, and a bistro, allowing drivers to recharge both their vehicles and themselves in comfort.
Zuzanna Laskowska, Distribution Account Manager – Czechia & Slovakia at Ekoenergetyka, celebrates the inauguration of the charging station by stating: “A true example of an aesthetic, smart and efficient hub that can also serve as a model for other markets.”
