chargecloud GmbH, provider of cloud-based software solutions for charging infrastructure, has gained a new partner for its marketplace in the Dutch company Payter.
Together, chargecloud and Payter offer charge point operators (CPOs) a directly integrable solution for implementing credit card payments – legally compliant with the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) and fully integrated into the chargecloud platform.
The combination of a terminal from the Payter Apollo series and chargecloud’s cloud-based software ecosystem is realized via a cloud-to-cloud connection.
The Payter terminal supports contactless credit and debit card payments as well as mobile wallets and meets all common security and interoperability standards.
Thanks to the direct connection to chargecloud’s 360° SaaS solution, CPOs benefit from uniform billing, centralized management, and full transparency – no additional interfaces or middleware required.
Legally compliant charging station operation with credit card payment
The target group is operators of publicly accessible charging points, in particular municipal utilities and CPOs who want to offer a legally compliant and user-friendly payment option that complies with the requirements of the EU AFIR regulation and German calibration law.
The solution can be used immediately – both for new installations and existing ones – and creates an intuitive charging experience that increases convenience for electric car drivers.
The reliable availability of ad hoc payment options can also reduce potential reluctance to use public charging points.
“Our goal is to reliably support charging infrastructure operators in the digitalization and expansion of their business models. With Payter, we are expanding our partner network with a practical and established solution for ad hoc payments,” explains Markus Bach, CEO of chargecloud GmbH.
He continues: “It is ready to use and helps our customers implement the AFIR requirements easily and cost-effectively,”
Remco Willemse, CEO of Payter, states: “At Payter, our mission has always been to make payments effortless. Partnering with chargecloud is a natural step for us, as we work to support the growth of Europe’s e-mobility sector.”
“Together, we’re building a scalable solution that not only keeps operators compliant today but also helps them stay competitive in the future,” he adds.
chargecloud Marketplace: Driving innovation for e-mobility
With the Marketplace, chargecloud offers its customers direct access to high-quality partner solutions that enable them to expand their business models and prepare for future requirements.
At the same time, partner companies gain a platform for placing their innovations in a dynamically growing market.
The combination of a powerful software platform and specialized partner solutions contributes to operational excellence, further expanding the charging infrastructure and promoting innovation in the industry.
All solutions are tested for compatibility in advance and can be operated seamlessly with chargecloud’s SaaS applications.
In addition to payment solutions, CPOs will find services related to fleet management, GHG quotas, load management, and AI-based customer communication.
