According to the latest report from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), only five countries in the European Union (EU) offer tax incentives for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging points.
These are Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and Sweden.
However, all countries in the EU provide some form of fiscal benefit, either for acquisition or usage, for EVs.
Nevertheless, there is significant disparity and fragmentation among the measures adopted by each country so far.
It’s worth mentioning that, regarding electric fleets for businesses, only 17 member states provide financial support to companies for electrifying their employees’ mobility.
Lastly, it’s worth noting that for purchases, there are six countries where no incentives exist: Belgium, Denmark, Bulgaria, Finland, Latvia, and Slovakia.
