As Spain accelerates the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, operators are demanding more than just high-performance hardware.
The market is shifting towards reliable partners—those capable of adapting to local needs, reacting swiftly, and delivering a solid after-sales service.
This is where Ekoenergetyka is carving out its space.
With over 15 years of experience across Central and Northern Europe, the Polish manufacturer is already working with major players like IONITY, Telpark, Powerdot, Plugit, Orlen, EVN.
Its ambition? To position itself as a strategic partner for charge point operators in need of scalable, interoperable solutions tailored to diverse urban and logistical environments.
“What our partners value most is technological reliability, rapid scalability, and strong after-sales support. That’s exactly what we bring to the table,” the company told Mobility Portal in an exclusive interview.
Ekoenergetyka’s roadmap in southern Europe includess strong and long-term partnership with parking operators, logistics fleets and public entities.
Its overarching goal is to become a high-value supplier in a market still grappling with bottlenecks such as interoperability issues, permitting delays and maintenance challenges.
“We’re bringing our know-how to Spain, Portugal and Italy, offering the same quality and reliability that earned us our reputation in northern Europe—adapted to the specific needs of each region,” the company added.
Ekoenergetyka is already present along key Spanish corridors and plans to expand through turnkey projects that combine technical support, modular design, and future-proof compatibility with standards like the Megawatt Charging System (MCS).
Industrial-grade engineering meets real-world needs
Beyond technical specifications, Ekoenergetyka sees its key differentiator in a three-pillar approach: industrial-grade engineering, localised support, and alignment with operator needs.
With over 116 MW installed for IONITY alone, the company has proven its ability to deliver large-scale projects without compromising quality.
That said, the road hasn’t been without challenges.
“Collaborating with such a demanding operator pushed us to refine our design, software, and component quality—raising our internal standards even higher,” the firm noted.
The next milestone? Translating this level of rigour into concrete deployments across southern Europe.
“We listen to our clients and adapt our solutions to meet their goals. Our aim is to grow in Spain not just through products, but through long-term partnerships,” the company affirmed.
SAT 1500: high-powered charging for heavy-duty transport
A flagship in Ekoenergetyka’s portfolio is the SAT 1500, a charger purpose-built to meet the growing demand for electrification in heavy transport.
“The SAT 1500 was born from both market demand and our own strategic vision. It meets today’s requirements and lays the groundwork for the next phase of e-mobility,” they explain.
This high-power charger is designed for logistics hubs and intercity corridors, providing essential support for the roll-out of electric freight transport.
Axon Easy: the “universal” charger for diverse use cases
Another core solution for the Spanish market is Axon Easy, described by the company as “our most universal charger”.
“Axon Easy is our best seller, more than 50% of our projects contain it. So it’s a proven test and the best solutions”, Add the company.
Technically, it’s a modular and power-scalable unit compatible with multiple standards, making it ideal for locations where space or grid capacity is limited.
“Axon Easy addresses key challenges like interoperability, installation costs and long-term operability. It’s a flexible solution built to evolve alongside the market,” the company states.
This offering is aimed at both cost-conscious private operators and public administrations investing in on-street or municipal car park infrastructure.
