To mark Earth Day, Ewiva presented the environmental results achieved by its ultra-fast charging network, powered entirely by renewable energy. Since its inception, the network has recorded over 1 million charging sessions, enabling drivers to travel more than 200 million emission-free kilometres.
According to the statement, this has prevented the release of more than 25,000 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to planting more than 1 million trees.
Additionally, it has avoided the emission of more than 1.5 tonnes of particulate matter and over 60 tonnes of nitrogen oxides. Noise pollution has also been reduced, equivalent to the noise produced by more than 40,000 internal combustion engine vehicles.
Ewiva’s network expansion and interoperability
In the first quarter of 2025, Ewiva expanded its presence across Italy, reaching 400 completed charging stations and surpassing 1,400 HPC charging points distributed evenly from north to south.
The network is now present in around 90% of Italian provinces and is interoperable with approximately 100 national and international charging service providers.
More than 80% of Ewiva’s charging points are equipped with integrated POS terminals, allowing users to pay directly with a card or mobile phone, without the need for registration or subscription, thus making access easier for occasional users as well.
Economic accessibility as a strategic focus
Ewiva complements its expansion strategy with initiatives aimed at improving the economic accessibility of the service. From 1 May, the company will launch a promotion for those who use debit, credit, or prepaid cards from Mastercard, Visa, Vpay, and Maestro networks, or make payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
This measure is part of a broader vision that encourages collaboration between charge point operators (CPOs) and mobility service providers (MSPs), with the aim of developing simple, transparent, and advantageous solutions for users.
“Contributing to our country’s energy transition also involves everyday choices, such as opting for electric mobility. Our goal is to make this choice increasingly easy,” said Daniela Biscarini, CEO of Ewiva.
“That’s why we’re investing in expanding our network and launching promotions that directly benefit users and the MSPs with whom we are interoperable. Only through active collaboration among all industry players can we strengthen trust in public infrastructure and accelerate the sustainable development of the electric mobility ecosystem,” she concluded.
