Enel Group, through its subsidiary Enel X Way Italia S.r.l., has secured funding under the PNRR scheme for the installation of new fast-charging infrastructure exceeding 90 kilowatts for electric vehicles (EVs) between 2023 and 2025.
Among the approved projects, 14 charging stations will be installed in the municipality of Formigine, benefiting from subsidies provided by the Ministry of the Environment.
The same PNRR tender also saw participation from FASTWAY S.p.A., which applied to install three additional EV charging stations in Formigine.
All proposed units have been granted funding.
Giulia Malvolti, Councillor for Energy Transition, states: “Each charging station will have two charging points. With these additions, Formigine will reach the goal of having one charging point per 1,000 residents.
“Combined with the existing 11 stations—though not all offering high-power charging—the total number of charging points available to residents will rise to 56,” she adds.
The 17 new charging stations are expected to be operational by December 31, 2025.
