Hellonext Pushes the Market Forward with Its Mantra “If You Stop, You Disappear”

Hellonext continues to redefine the EV charging market with new, innovative solutions, enhancing flexibility and power while pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the rapidly evolving electromobility sector.

The electromobility market is in constant evolution, and what was considered innovative yesterday may already be outdated today.

This is how Manuel Sande e Castro, Sales Director at Hellonext, explains the current landscape during the second day of the “Energy Storage, Renewables, and Electric Vehicles Integration Forum,” organised by Mobility Portal Europe.

“Six years ago, a 50-kilowatt charger was an impressive achievement. Today, that power is almost obsolete,” comments the executive.

The reality is that today’s customers demand more powerful, flexible, and functional solutions.

Sande e Castro states that, in this ever-changing environment, “if you stop, you disappear.”

This phrase encapsulates the imperative need to keep moving and continue innovating in order to avoid being left behind in the market.

It is for this reason that Hellonext is redesigning one of its best-selling products, the H2 60-180.

“Part of this improvement is due to the feedback we received from Powy, one of our clients. In our last collaboration, they suggested modifications, and now we are incorporating them,” he notes.

“We can’t reveal much yet, but beside significant improvements in the overall design, the new charger will include features specifically demanded by our customers, such as improved cable management functionality and footprint adjustments,” he adds.

It is worth mentioning that this electric vehicle (EV) charger offers adjustable power ranging from 60 kilowatts (kW)—with two 30 kW modules—to 180 kW with six power modules.

Available charging connections include CCS2 250A or 300A Boost, as well as CHAdeMO 120A, GB/T, or CCS1.

Additionally, it offers ergonomic cable management (optional) for easier handling and organisation, multiple authentication methods—compatible with apps, RFID card readers, and QR codes—and an optional payment terminal to facilitate transaction management.

The charger is equipped with a 7” LCD screen and is compatible with the OCPP 1.6 protocol (or higher), ensuring interoperability with different platforms.

On the other hand, in terms of new solutions, Hellonext launched the H2 40-80 Wallbox DC Charger this year.

“We develop products that adapt to each need, and we identify opportunities in destination charging,” says Sande e Castro.

Indeed, the CPO concept—the main type of Hellonext’s customer—is expanding to include actors such as service stations, supermarkets, and more.

Lastly, it is important to highlight that the company is also focusing on working with private fleets, particularly in the heavy vehicle segment

“While this niche is growing, it is still in its early stages. We expect to see considerable results in the next two years,” the executive says.

Hellonext Launches All-in-One Integrated Battery Solution

Battery storage is emerging as a key resource to complement the energy available on the grid, enabling greater output power during charging and stabilising more unstable local networks.

Indeed, this solution helps accelerate the expansion of fast chargers and enhances the user experience for EV drivers.

To stay ahead of the sector, Hellonext launched an integrated battery solution this year in a single cabinet (all-in-one).

This solution is designed to combine with the company’s chargers, not only the new ones but also those already installed, thanks to its modular configuration.

The LUMION 215/100, a 215 kWh all-in-one BESS cabinet, is a plug-and-play solution that adds immediate energy capacity—up to 100 kW of fast dispatch energy—to customers’ charging stations.

Its installation and scalability are quick, as its compact all-in-one system can be deployed in less than 30 minutes and expanded through modular stacking of up to eight modules (1.7 MWh).

It is worth mentioning that this solution reduces demand peaks and demand charges, as it stores cheaper energy outside peak hours and releases it during peak hours to reduce electricity costs.

“We are also working on distributed or satellite solutions, but those will be announced in time,” the executive reveals.
