The new partnership between Padua-based Silla Industries and Bornelec, the leading player specializing in charging solutions for electric vehicles in Algeria, begins with an initial order for the components of a first group of chargers for electric mobility.
The two players, who met at the Paris Motor Show, immediately noticed the great similarity in the field of innovation for electric mobility, thus establishing the new partnership.
The project will see an active collaboration between the two players with the creation of a real joint venture, in which Silla will pool its know-how on processes, electronic boards and chassis for components, to create finished products on site, such as production and assembly, with an industrial plan, for North Africa, in line with the policies of the Algerian Government supported by new incentives.

“It was immediately clear that we were mutually complementary in our vision of the evolution of electric,” comments Miloud Lamraoui, co-founder of Bornelec.
“Among the many mobility solutions we develop, for both domestic and international customers, we decided to invest in new products to enhance synergies with the LED sector, purchasing part of the components from Silla, assets in which their technology is superb.”
“We are really happy with this new partnership that unites two very similar companies, both young and in love with the green future that we want to help achieve,” adds Alberto Stecca, CEO of Silla Industries. “We are starting with this first supply, with the desire to continue our journey together, extending it to larger projects, perhaps to be developed together with some important client.”
