The contract involves the delivery of up to 580 buses, including 250 fully electric vehicles, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

IVECO BUS, a brand under the Iveco Group, has recently signed a five-year agreement with the German consortium BusGruppe to supply urban buses, further strengthening its presence in the European public transportation market.

The contract involves the delivery of up to 580 buses, including 250 fully electric vehicles, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

The agreement, valued at up to €172 million, marks one of the most significant orders in the electric bus sector in Germany.

IVECO BUS will supply 200 CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC buses and 50 articulated E-WAY buses, both electric models designed for urban operations, contributing to emission reductions in city centers.

In addition to electric vehicles, the agreement includes the delivery of 330 additional buses, including articulated URBANWAY Hybrid models and intercity CROSSWAY Low Entry buses equipped with FPT Industrial Cursor engines capable of running on renewable fuels.

This diversification addresses the varying operational needs of German cities.

The vehicle deliveries are scheduled over the next five years, supporting Germany’s urban fleet renewal plans and promoting a transition to greener, more efficient transport systems.

This agreement solidifies IVECO BUS’s position in the European market, enhancing its reputation as a provider of sustainable and innovative public transport solutions.

The significant supply of electric and hybrid buses demonstrates the company’s ability to meet the growing demand for low-emission mobility solutions required by European environmental policies.

The partnership with BusGruppe, a prominent consortium in the German public transport sector, opens further opportunities for future collaborations and projects in the field of sustainable mobility, potentially extending IVECO BUS’s influence into other strategic markets.

Moreover, this agreement contributes to environmental sustainability goals, fostering the reduction of CO₂ emissions and the adoption of clean technologies in public transport, aligning with European directives for energy transition and combating climate change.
