Mercedes-Benz inaugurated its first proprietary Charging Hub in Austria, situated in Parndorf.
Over the next year, the company plans to establish at least five more charging parks across the country as part of the company’s global commitment to expanding infrastructure.
By the end of the decade, more than 10,000 high-power charging points are planned worldwide.
With this initiative, Mercedes-Benz is setting new standards for fast, convenient, green, and reliable charging of electric vehicles.
To develop and operate the high-power charging network in Europe, the company is partnering with energy and mobility expert E.ON.
The new Charging Hub in Parndorf is located directly on the A4 motorway, within the Parndorf Fashion Outlet complex.
EV drivers can now use ten charging points, each offering up to 400 kilowatts of power for ultra-fast charging.
Thanks to intelligent charging management, each vehicle is charged with the maximum power available.
Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs are open and accessible to all vehicle brands.
“With our first proprietary Charging Hub in Parndorf, we are creating a charging experience that goes far beyond infrastructure alone. Cutting-edge technology meets comfort and premium service – just as our customers expect from Mercedes-Benz,” says Agnieszka Kühn, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Austria.
“At the same time, we are sending a strong signal for the expansion of e-mobility in Austria and are driving the transformation forward with determination,” she adds.
Additional Charging Hub locations are already in preparation – openings in Allhaming (Upper Austria) and Völkermarkt (Carinthia) are planned for the upcoming winter months.
Comfortable High-Power Charging with Mercedes-Benz
The accessible location directly on the A4 in Parndorf was carefully selected to ensure an enhanced customer experience.
Thanks to its placement within the shopping complex, customers can enjoy a range of amenities during their charging session.
Smart poles with illuminated features, such as LED light spirals, numbered bays and dynamic LED status bars, provide further convenience and give real-time information about charger availability and charging status.
Signature brand elements, including the iconic 3D chrome Mercedes-Benz star and the high-quality silver look of the charging stations, contribute to the premium aesthetic.
Exclusive Benefits for Customers
The charging parks are seamlessly integrated into the digital charging service MB.CHARGE Public.
In Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles, the navigation system displays the precise location and real-time availability of charging points.
These are used by the Electric Intelligence navigation system to plan convenient and time-efficient routes, including charging stops.
Mercedes-Benz customers can also take advantage of a reservation feature, allowing them to book a charging point in advance.
Authentication at the charging station is possible via the MBUX multimedia display, the Mercedes-Benz app, the MB.CHARGE Public charging card or via Plug & Charge.
Everything else is handled automatically via MB.CHARGE Public.
Customers benefit from a stored charging contract and all charging sessions are automatically billed. Mercedes-Benz offers attractive fixed-rate tariffs through the MB.CHARGE Public service.
For example, the price under the M & L tariff is a highly competitive €0.39/kWh.
Until 31 August 2025, MB.CHARGE Public customers can enjoy an introductory Free Charging offer at the Parndorf location.
Expanding Global Charging Capabilities
MB.CHARGE Public provides access to one of the largest charging networks worldwide, with over 2.3 million charging points, 850,000 of which are in Europe. Through MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes-Benz brings together more than 1,600 charging providers. By developing its own charging parks, Mercedes-Benz is continuously expanding its existing portfolio of public charging points.
The Mercedes-Benz Charging Network is a key element in the company’s electrification strategy. Including its own Mercedes-Benz charging infrastructure and the joint ventures IONITY, IONNA and IONCHI, the brand plans to establish around 45,000 high-power charging points globally by the end of the decade – all accessible via the MB.CHARGE Public digital charging service.
