Mercedes-Benz launches Remote 3.0 app for monitoring eActros 600

The new digital tool allows drivers to track key vehicle and charging data remotely, with broader compatibility planned from mid-2025.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has introduced the Remote 3.0 mobile application, a digital interface that enables real-time monitoring of key vehicle functions for the battery-electric eActros 600.

The app is designed to support long-haul operations by providing drivers with critical information directly on their smartphones.

Currently available for the eActros 600, the Remote 3.0 app will also be compatible with the Actros L and Arocs models from summer 2025.

Usage requires that the truck is equipped with the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2, the Truck Data Centre 8, and is registered under a TruckLive contract.

The application delivers push notifications for urgent alerts and provides updates on various parameters, including battery charge level, vehicle range, and charging progress. During charging, the app informs the driver when a session starts, is interrupted, or has completed, helping optimise stopover times.

For conventional diesel-powered trucks, the app displays mileage, tyre pressure, compressed-air levels, and in the near future, fuel and AdBlue fill levels. If any function falls outside the expected range, a notification is sent immediately.

Additional features allow drivers to monitor the status of locks, doors, and windows during breaks. More functionalities are expected to be introduced progressively from summer 2025.

Remote 3.0 is compatible with smartphones running iOS 15 or Android 9 and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The pairing process between truck and device is performed via a QR code generated by the in-vehicle multimedia system, eliminating the need for manual password entry.

In cases where multiple drivers operate the same vehicle, the app can be reassigned through the “Disconnect” function or the use of an individual driver card.

The Remote 3.0 app supports more than 13 languages and can be used in combination with the existing TruckLive platform, enhancing integration with Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ digital ecosystem.

By increasing vehicle transparency, the app is designed to improve operational efficiency and driver convenience in both domestic and international long-distance transport contexts.
