New appointment at Electrip: Andrea Casartelli takes over as Country Manager in Italy

The company strengthens its operations in the country with the incorporation of an executive with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. The objective is to accelerate the deployment of ultra-fast charging infrastructure.

Electrip has appointed Andrea Casartelli as its new Country Manager for Italy. The move is part of the company’s strategy to expand its ultra-fast charging network and consolidate its presence in Southern Europe.

Casartelli brings more than two decades of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining Electrip, he served for six years as Country Manager at EDP Energia Italia and was a member of its Board of Directors between 2021 and 2023.

His previous roles include senior positions at Edison SpA, where he was responsible for institutional affairs and the residential market billing segment.

He also worked as a Strategic Business Planner at Elpedison Trading, with involvement in both wholesale and retail energy markets.

In his new role, Casartelli will lead the expansion of Electrip’s charging infrastructure across Italy. The company currently operates 340 active charging points and plans to increase this figure to 700 by the end of 2025. The network focuses on high-power charging stations, strategically located along highways, urban centers, and high-traffic corridors.

Electrip’s infrastructure is powered exclusively by 100% renewable energy. Through its mobile app, users can locate available stations, initiate and monitor charging sessions, and manage payments from anywhere in the country.

The appointment supports Electrip’s goal to respond to the growing demand for electric vehicle charging solutions. Casartelli will also be responsible for coordinating with local authorities, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing partnerships across the public and private sectors.

Italy continues to advance in the electrification of mobility, although challenges in charging infrastructure remain. Electrip aims to address this gap with a network that combines speed, national coverage, and environmental sustainability.

With this appointment, Electrip reinforces its commitment to developing a robust, reliable charging network and positions itself as a key player in the transition to electric mobility in Italy.
