Sungrow, global leading PV inverter, energy storage system (ESS) and electric vehicle (EV) charging solution provider, has announced the next generation of its EV charging portfolio – the 1+X Megawatt Charging System CDC1000E.
Revealed at Sungrow’s Charging Summit 2025 held in Amsterdam October 16th, the system combines advanced cooling technology, intelligent power management, and modular architecture to support the transition to high-power EV infrastructure.
Rick Li, Director EV Charging at Sungrow Europe, says: “Our 1+X Megawatt Charging System (MCS) is the latest solution to showcase how the future of EV charging will look like – from fleet and industrial use to commercial applications.”
“We’re committed to empowering customers with the very best possible devices, built upon the cornerstones of security, reliability and user-experience,” he adds.
Reliability, designed for users
The CDC1000E is purpose built for demanding high-power applications, offering parallel expansion up to 3,5 megawatts (MW).
This makes it an ideal solution for fleet operators, industrial sites, and commercial hubs preparing for the next wave of EV adoption.
With a lifespan of over ten years, the system uses an eco-friendly and degradable fluid for liquid cooling, and features IP55 protection and C5 anti-corrosion, giving users peace of mind that the system will perform consistently and have minimal environment impact.
Designed from the ground up to be barrier-free for the user, the system supports an adaptive voltage range of 150-1000Vdc and offers multiple authentication and payment options to ensure smooth usage in every situation.
Intelligent features for tomorrow’s mobility needs
Beyond charging, the system supports reactive power regulation to respond to grid demand, and integrates advanced service tools, dynamic power allocation and a silicon carbide power module.
The latter offers significantly higher efficiency, faster-switching speeds, and better thermal performance than traditional power modules, enabling faster and more compact EV chargers.
By combining efficient smart design and flexible application, the 1+X solution is built to address today’s industry priorities and adapt to emerging needs.
It completes Sungrow’s DC charging portfolio now consisting of chargers with 30, 180, 480 and 1000 kilowatts (kW).
Beside its products Sungrow offers local After-sales Services with teams on site all over Europe.
Sungrow: Powering the future of e-mobility
At the Sungrow Charging Summit 2025 in Amsterdam, the company brought together leading takeholders and partners from across the e-mobility industry in Europe to discuss the road ahead and promote a new generation of EV charging solutions.
Hosted at the Hilton Amsterdam, the event featured expert panels, interactive product demonstrations, and a guided site visit to a flagship EV charging project close to Schiphol airport combining PV, battery storage and EV charging.
The event underscored Sungrow’s commitment to industry collaboration in an effort to power the next generation of sustainable mobility.
One key takeaway: The products for the future of e-Mobility are already ready to support the mobility
transition.
