Porsche continues expanding its electric vehicle infrastructure with the launch of its sixth Charging Lounge, located in Leonberg, near the A8 and A81 motorway junction in Germany.
This new facility complements existing locations in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld, Koblach (Austria), Ingolstadt and Hamburg.
The Leonberg site is equipped with six ultra-fast charging points, delivering up to 400 kW. Designed to optimise performance for Porsche’s electric models, the Taycan can reach 80% charge in 18 minutes, while the new Macan requires 21 minutes for the same.
Beyond fast charging, the Porsche Charging Lounge offers an indoor rest area with lounge seating, Wi-Fi, a variety of snacks and drinks, a coffee machine, water dispenser, and modern sanitary facilities. Outdoor seating areas with integrated speakers and natural views enhance the user experience.

Developed with Studio F.A. Porsche, the modular architecture merges the brand’s design language with sustainability.
The structure uses materials such as steel, wood and stone, and incorporates renewable energy features including photovoltaic panels on the roof and heat pump-based heating and cooling.
The building’s energy consumption is digitally managed, automatically reducing lighting when unoccupied. Access is automated via number plate recognition linked to the Porsche ID, or alternatively, through the Porsche Charging Card or a QR code in the My Porsche app.
The Porsche Charging Service grants access to over 900,000 charging points in more than 25 European countries. Of these, around 75,000 offer DC charging over 150 kW, including approximately 740 IONITY stations and over 3,000 Aral pulse points in Germany—both Porsche preferred partners.
Customers using the Porsche Charging Service Plus benefit from preferential rates, such as €0.39/kWh at Aral pulse, compared to the standard €0.69/kWh.
