The Mobi.E public charging network recorded over 605,000 charging sessions in January 2025, marking a 51% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
These sessions were carried out by more than 101,000 unique users, a 52% rise year-on-year.
In terms of energy consumption, the network registered approximately 13,126 MWh, representing a 68% growth compared to January of the previous year.
According to Mobi.E, the continuous expansion of its infrastructure is one of the main drivers of these positive results, keeping pace with the rising adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Portugal.
By the end of January 2025, the Mobi.E network included more than 5,800 public access charging stations, equivalent to approximately 10,800 individual charging points.
During this period, users had access to over 2,200 fast or ultra-fast charging stations, accounting for 37.9% of the entire network.
In January 2025, the Mobi.E network helped reduce CO2 emissions by more than 10,500 tonnes.
This amount would require over 174,500 urban trees, aged ten years, to absorb the same volume of carbon dioxide.
Currently, Portugal has an average of 88 charging points per 100 kilometres of motorway, and 120 charging points per 100,000 inhabitants.
