Poste Italiane continues the rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure as part of the Polis – Casa dei Servizi Digitali project. To date, 165 charging points have been installed across several Italian provinces.
The programme aims to deploy 10,000 Quick-type charging points (2×22 kW) by 2026, with a significant share of 50 kW Fast DC chargers.
Installations are located in Poste Italiane’s private car parks or in public areas near post offices, based on agreements with local authorities and at no cost to municipalities.
Among the provinces with confirmed data:
• Imperia: 54 charging points installed.
• Arezzo: 31 units.
• Friuli Venezia Giulia: 23 stations across the provinces of Pordenone, Udine and Gorizia.
• Unspecified province: 26 stations reported in a company release.
• Nuoro: 16 units across 11 locations.
• Cuneo: 7 active charging stations.
• Terni: 4 operational points.
• Varese: 3 installed units.
• Reggio Emilia: 1 confirmed installation in Fabbrico.
These figures account for a total of 165 EV charging points deployed so far under the Polis project. The initiative aims to strengthen Italy’s electric mobility infrastructure, particularly in small municipalities.
