Charge Point Operator (CPO) PowerGo has opened a public fast charging hub at Basic-Fit Ekeren in Antwerp, Belgium, conveniently located next to the A12 highway.
With two charging points of 150 kilowatts (kW) and five charging points of 30 kW, Basic-Fit and PowerGo offer a convenient charging solution for both gym members and electric vehicles (EV) drivers passing through.
The partnership between the two companies began in 2023.
Since then, the firms have been working together to install fast charging solutions at Basic-Fit locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Gerard van Medevoort, International Energy Manager at Basic-Fit, says: “At this new charging hub, they can charge their EVs quickly and efficiently while working out. It is a valuable addition to our services and a sustainable choice that fits perfectly with Basic-Fit.”
Emiel Boudenoodt, Project Manager at PowerGo, states: “Whether someone makes a quick stop or spends more time at the gym, this charging hub is accessible and efficient for everyone. By combining different types of chargers, we can meet the diverse charging needs of EV drivers.“
Green solution
The CPO offers dynamic charging prices, based on the current hourly electricity price.
This allows EV drivers to benefit from fair, transparent prices and encourages them to charge during times when more clean energy is available.
As a result, charging becomes both greener and more affordable. The free PowerGo Charge app shows the real-time prices for the next 24 hours.
As part of its broader commitment to sustainability, the CPO works with solar energy, generated from solar parks operated by its parent company PowerField.
About PowerGo
Fast, easy and guaranteed green charging, that’s PowerGo. The CPO believes in a future where electric driving is the standard.
That is why PowerGo makes the transition to sustainable mobility accessible to everyone.
The CPO develops public and fleet charging solutions for partners including HelloFresh, Basic-Fit, Jumbo, PLUS and various governments.
PowerGo is the subsidiary of PowerField, a Dutch organisation specialised in the production, storage and trading of solar energy.
PowerGo’s charging solutions are powered by energy from PowerField’s solar parks.
