Powy, a company that owns, develops, and operates a public charging infrastructure network for electric vehicles, has unveiled its new mobile application, Powy Charge, aimed at delivering a more complete and personalized experience for users at its charging stations.
This launch reinforces the company’s commitment to improving user interaction with its charging network by streamlining and optimizing every step of the process.
Powy Charge sets itself apart with its ability to make the charging experience seamless and user-friendly, removing the common barriers faced by electric vehicle (EV) drivers.
With an intuitive design, the app enables users to access an interactive map that facilitates the quick and efficient location of charging stations. In addition, it provides real-time information on charger availability, helping users avoid unnecessary wait times and improving the overall experience.
One of the app’s standout features is its route planning tool, which, based on the vehicle model and current battery level, ensures that drivers can reach their destination without range anxiety.
The app also offers flexible payment options, supporting multiple methods and enabling easy and efficient charging session management. Frequent users will benefit from personalized promotions, designed to further enhance their engagement with the Powy network.
This feature is especially valuable for partner businesses, which gain visibility and benefit from co-marketing initiatives with Powy. These initiatives allow partners to promote their services to EV drivers, creating a virtuous cycle that benefits both businesses and users by offering a more comprehensive and diverse experience.
Additionally, the introduction of the Powy RFID card provides a convenient alternative, allowing users to start and stop charging with a simple tap.
With this new app, Powy aims to improve the overall charging experience by removing persistent obstacles in the electric mobility ecosystem. The company believes that, through its open payment policy and enhanced functionality, it is taking a significant step toward making electric mobility more accessible and user-friendly for all.
The charging point operator, which already manages 1,100 active charging points, continues its expansion across Spain.
The network currently covers regions including Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Andalusia, the Community of Madrid, and Asturias, reinforcing Powy’s commitment to electric mobility in Spain and its efforts to facilitate nationwide access to charging infrastructure.
According to Federico Fea, CEO of Powy, “With the launch of Powy Charge, we aim to provide users with a more effective tool to help them find and select charging points. The app, which will continue to evolve over time, also represents a greater visibility opportunity for our partners, creating a virtuous cycle of benefits for businesses and drivers, resulting in a richer and more diversified experience.”
Nicolò Brentan, Chief Growth Officer at Powy, added, “Powy Charge was created with the goal of delivering a seamless and intuitive charging experience, enhanced by advanced features like route planning. Our medium- to long-term objective is to increasingly integrate vehicle and user location data into the app to further enrich the user experience. We are deeply focused on the usage context and charging infrastructure so that every interaction with the app is simple and tailored to the driver’s needs.”
