Renault and AS Monaco are pleased to announce their collaboration for the forthcoming season, which will showcase Renault 5 E-Tech electric.
Reflecting Renault’s position as a key partner, the R5 logo will appear on the front of the shirts worn by the AS Monaco team in all their Champions League matches this season, and also on the pocket area of the players’ kit in League 1 matches.
It will also feature extensively at the Louis II Stadium and in the club’s communications materials.
Renault 5 E-Tech electric is a pop icon of timeless appeal with symbolic value for the company.
It represents not only the Renaulution recovery strategy, but also the brand’s industrial renewal and the transition of its iconic model to electric power.
Manufactured at the Douai plant in France, this model is also the first all-electric vehicle – alongside Scenic E-Tech electric – to receive “Origine France Garantie” certification from Bureau Veritas.
As part of this collaboration, Renault will provide AS Monaco with a fleet of around twenty vehicles.
For this key stage in the launch of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, the automaker will be raising the profile of its new vehicle – symbolising the brand’s transition to electric power – through a range of joint initiatives with AS Monaco and the extended dealership network.
“Founded over one hundred years ago, we are both entities with national and international reach. And we are both seeking to implement strategies with a focus on clean mobility,” says Laurent Aliphat, VP Renault Marketing, Brand Content.
“This partnership comes at a time that promises to be exciting and meaningful for both of us, with the launch of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, an iconic car inspiring real passion, and the centenary celebrations of AS Monaco,” he adds.
Thibaut Chatelard, Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer at AS Monaco, indicates: “I’d like to welcome Renault and Renault 5 E-Tech electric to the family of AS Monaco partners! With the Club returning to the Champions League next season, as well as celebrating its centenary, we are delighted to have Renault supporting us in our European campaign and throughout the League 1 season, which is shaping up to be particularly exciting.”
And he continues: “Through this new partnership with Renault, a global brand, and its Renault 5 E-Tech electric, a car that is both iconic and eco-responsible, we are once again demonstrating the appeal of AS Monaco. We look forward to working with Renault and supporting each other in achieving our goals.”
