The trucking industry is shifting toward electrification, but significant challenges are blocking the way.
One major obstacle is the lack of access to a Europe-wide charging infrastructure, including the ability to locate and book charging stations in advance.
To address this issue, TRAVIS, Europe’s leading truck service platform, has partnered with Spirii, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.
TRAVIS offers transport companies a comprehensive platform to find, book, and pay for essential truck services at more than 2500 locations, including secured parking, truck wash, and charging.
Through this partnership, both companies offer an all-in-one solution.
While Spirii’s platform services support the development of the charging infrastructure, TRAVIS makes the charging locations findable and bookable for transport companies across Europe.
Spirii will also handle billing and administration, enabling site owners to offer public charging and create new revenue streams.
Jochem de Graaf, CEO of TRAVIS, states: “The energy transition in the transport sector is still uncharted territory, making collaboration essential to provide Europe-wide coverage of truck chargers, going beyond the dedicated charging hubs currently under development.”

The collaboration is expected to span all European markets.
