From November 7th to 9th, 2023, a new edition of the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress (TMWC) arrives in Barcelona.

During an interview in the “Personalities” series, Delphine Romeu, the Congress Director, reveals that the upcoming edition will be the largest they have organized since its inception.

“We will have more than 25,000 people from 140 countries, and there will be over 600 speakers,” she highlights.

In this way, the conference will bring together industry executives, government leaders, and global experts with the aim of highlighting diversity in different sessions.

“We will incorporate both the perspective of the private sector, with multinational corporations, as well as that of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups,” she notes.

She adds, “I believe we are the only event in the world that brings together this entire ecosystem.”

Some of the standout speakers include Timothy Papandreou, founder of Emerging Transport Advisors; Seleta Reynolds, Interim CIO and CPO of LA Metro; and Maria Tsavachidis, CEO of EIT Urban Mobility.

Among the participating companies are Kia, Renfe, TMB, and Nexus Geographics.

Together, they will address the challenges facing the transportation sector and share effective solutions.

As the director reveals, this year’s main focus will be on innovation, implementation, and the development of real projects.

In this context, more than 100 startups will participate in a dedicated space.

Within this area, emerging companies will be able to interact with professionals from around the world to present cutting-edge plans and smartly implemented solutions.

“Here, real solutions, products, and disruptive projects being developed in various cities around the world will be showcased,” she explains.

Those interested in participating in the event can do so in various ways.

The first option, recommended primarily for industry players, is to have a booth, not only to present their projects but also to gain greater visibility.

Another alternative is to become a conference partner to have access to different sessions and the opportunity to position themselves as industry experts.

Furthermore, you can attend as a visitor and access the conference sessions, get to know the solutions in development, and establish connections in the field of urban mobility.

You can also participate in a debate area in the exhibition zone, where participants will have the opportunity to listen to prominent speakers and create multiple business opportunities.

“In this way, promoting the exchange of experiences and benchmarking,” emphasizes the director of Tomorrow.Mobility.

One important detail to note is that, like in previous editions, the event will be conducted entirely in English, “without translation.”

About the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress

According to various industry experts, projections indicate an increase in emissions in the coming years if immediate adjustments are not implemented.

In this context, TMWC is born as a collaboration between Fira de Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology of the European Union.

Its aim is to establish itself as a global reference in the field of mobility and transportation, merging a continuously growing leading event with an active digital platform throughout the year.

In addition to serving as an innovation hub that attracts key industry stakeholders and contributes to making mobility more sustainable and inclusive for all citizens.

“For us, as a platform, it is essential to bring together this entire ecosystem with the goal of accelerating sustainable and smart urban mobility,” emphasizes Romeu.
