Busnex Poland, the official representative of the Yutong brand, signed an agreement in mid-July to supply 30 state-of-the-art U12 electric buses.
The vehicles, equipped with cobalt-free batteries and regenerative braking systems, can travel up to 400 kilometers (about 250 miles) on a single charge.
“This is already the second large contract signed with the city of Białystok,” says Marcin Kucharski, CEO of Busnex Poland.
“The first, concluded in September 2022, covered the delivery of 20 zero-emission Yutong E12 buses. Delivered in the second half of 2023, those vehicles have been successfully serving the city’s public transport routes,” he adds,
As part of the agreement between the city and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Białystok will also receive 25 depot charging stations and three mobile charging units.
The equipment will be installed across three depots. The company will provide training for drivers and technical staff.
