This week, Ahréns Åkeri AB, an international transport company operating over 70 of its own vehicles, took a significant step towards sustainable transport by inaugurating its new semi-public charging station in Södertälje, Sweden.
The project was carried out by Erinion, a company specialising in smart charging solutions, in collaboration with Scania Sverige.
By investing in future-proof charging infrastructure, Ahréns ensures that its fleet of six Scania battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) operates efficiently while paving the way for further electrification.
The tailor-made solution includes high-capacity DC charging for heavy-duty electric trucks, AC charging for passenger vehicles, smart payment terminals for external hauliers, and future-ready infrastructure for solar energy integration.
Regarding the initiative, Sussi Ahrén, CEO and HR Director at Ahréns Åkeri AB, states:
“We chose Erinion because of the trust in partnering with a Scania-affiliated company—one that understands the full picture, ensures a seamless transition to electrification, and is backed by the strength and expertise of a global industry leader.”
