The mobility company Alsa will participate as a Global Partner in the Global Mobility Call, which will be held at IFEMA MADRID from 19 to 21 November.
The event will bring together key players involved in the development of sustainable mobility.
Alsa will focus its participation on highlighting and contributing to the debate on the key factors driving the transformation of passenger mobility in the short and medium term.
The event, organised by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with Smobhub, will feature Alsa’s CEO, Francisco Iglesias, who will underscore the importance of public-private collaboration and regulation in transforming mobility at this international gathering.
For Alsa, public-private collaboration in developing mobility strategies is essential to meet environmental, social, and land management policies.
In the current context of rapid transformation and change, the company believes it is necessary to deepen collaboration between government bodies, businesses, and the third sector.
Global Mobility Call will address the regulatory changes needed to strengthen this relationship and to reinforce regulation as the foundation of the public mobility system.
In this context, some of the key points to be addressed in the short term include challenges arising from decarbonisation, mobility as a right, the significance of the Sustainable Mobility Act, and the risks associated with deregulation.
The company will also share its insights on customer experience and new mobility, emphasising aspects such as the need to place people at the heart of mobility policies and the keys to accelerating the essential modal shift towards collective transport, as well as the necessary measures to encourage its use.
Finally, they will highlight the challenges surrounding the funding of sustainable mobility and ways to overcome the limitations of the current model.
These efforts aim to achieve balanced funding for all modes and regions, as well as address the new landscape to be created by the Social Climate Fund and the extension of the Emissions Trading System.
About Global Mobility Call (GMC)
Organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, with sponsorship and support from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Global Mobility Call was launched in 2022 as a strategic event to position Spain as the international hub for sustainable mobility.
It emerges in a critical post-pandemic recovery context and amidst opportunities for business development and investment driven by Next Generation EU funds, the largest stimulus ever seen in Europe, as well as the European Green Deal, the roadmap to make Europe the first carbon-neutral continent by 2050.
With a global vision, GMC will gather leaders from all sectors involved in sustainable mobility at its third edition from 19 to 21 November 2024 at the Madrid Exhibition Centre to share their perspectives on the development of sustainable mobility policies and business initiatives.
