The British car dealer has installed more than 240 ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Scotland and England, as part of a 30 million pounds investment.
The company has launched its own bookable ultra-rapid charging network, called Arnold Clark Charge, which will see more than 500 chargers installed at over 100 locations across the United Kindom (UK).
There will be up to eight rapid chargers, with the ability to charge up to 150 kilowatts (kW), installed at Arnold Clark branches.
All Arnold Clark app users will have access to the network, which will be available to book safely and securely, with most sites being 24/7 accessible.
Drivers will also be able to get ultra-rapid charging at a rate of 55p/kWh.
To begin charging, customers simply need to download the app, create an account or log in, and then sign up to Arnold Clark Charge.
And with the ban on new petrol and diesel vehicles drawing ever closer, the company said it “marks another important step for Arnold Clark as they look to prepare customers for the upcoming shift to electric”.

With around 100 EV hubs boasting around 500 ultra-rapid chargers, drivers across the UK will never have to worry about finding a charging point again.
