The European Association for Electric Mobility, formerly known as AVERE, is now called E-Mobility Europe—a rebranding that signifies much more than just a name change.
This transformation reflects a renewed drive for representation and activity in line with the geopolitical, industrial, and technological challenges that mobility electrification faces in Europe.
The association unveiled its new brand identity at an event held in Brussels on 3 February, bringing together key players from across the ecosystem.
“2025 is a decisive year for the transition to electric vehicles, and we want to be at the forefront of the political debates ahead,” states Chris Heron, Secretary General of the association.
AVERE was founded in 1978 and has continuously evolved from its academic roots, initially bringing together national electric vehicle associations and, over the past five years, opening its membership to companies.
Today, E-Mobility Europe has a growing membership of nearly 80 members spanning the entire electric mobility ecosystem.
“AEDIVE joined E-Mobility Europe in 2016 as the sector’s representative in Spain, and in 2020, I assumed the vice presidency of the European association,” says Arturo Pérez de Lucia, General Director of AEDIVE (the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility).
He continues: “Our organisation is one of the most representative in Europe from an industrial, technological, and service perspective regarding electric vehicles and their ecosystem.”
