The Asian vehicle manufacturer will officially unveil its new BYD Seal 6 DM-i on 8 September at the IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany.
The automaker will debut its new model, which features Dual Mode plug-in hybrid technology and offers a combined maximum range of up to 1,505 kilometres under the WLTP test method (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure).
The new model will be presented in both its saloon version, with a three-box body style, and the estate Touring version, marking BYD’s entry into the European estate car market.
During the event, held at Odeonsplatz, attendees will also be able to see other models from the brand and even take part in test drives of the Seal, Seal U DM-i, Dolphin Surf, Atto 2, and Sealion 7.
Denza, BYD’s premium brand, will also present its D9 MPV alongside the flagship Z9GT.
Another exhibition area, located at Königsplatz, has been designed to showcase cutting-edge innovations that establish the brand as a global leader in sustainable mobility technology.
This will include an opportunity for European users to see BYD’s ultra-fast charging system in action, delivering up to 1,000 kW of power—enough to add around 400 km of range in just five minutes of charging.
