Delta presents new 500 kW DC ultra-fast charger for electric vehicles

Delta, a global leader in power management and provider of IoT-based smart green solutions, is showcasing its latest innovations at Hannover Messe 2024.

Under the theme “Realizing an Intelligent, Sustainable and Connecting World,” Delta is highlighting its commitment to fostering smart manufacturing and sustainable cities.

One of the key highlights of the showcase is Delta’s new 500 kW DC ultra-fast charger for traditional and heavy-duty electric vehicles (EV).

This charger represents a significant advancement in EV charging technology, offering unprecedented charging speeds and efficiency.

During the press conference, Dalip Sharma, President and General Manager of Delta Electronics EMEA Region, emphasized Delta’s dedication to sustainability.

He highlighted the company’s innovative solutions and business model, which align with Europe’s net-zero ambitions.

Sharma also mentioned Delta’s proactive sustainability measures, including its Internal Carbon Pricing system, which have been instrumental in achieving RE100 status for Delta’s facilities in EMEA.

Delta’s booth at Hannover Messe covers approximately 400 square meters and is divided into three sectors: Intelligent Industry, Smart Energy Infrastructure, and ICT Infrastructure.

Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to explore Delta’s intelligent infrastructure solutions across these sectors.

In the area of smart factory automation, Delta is unveiling its D-Bot series cobots, which are designed for quick deployment and easy operation.

These cobots offer plug-and-play functionality and intuitive programming, making them ideal for a wide range of applications in smart factory automation.

Delta’s commitment to energy transition is evident in its Smart Energy Infrastructure solutions, which include PV inverters, energy storage systems, and a variety of AC and DC EV chargers.

The company is showcasing a fast-charging station application, featuring the new 500kW DC heavy-duty EV charger, the UFC 500, designed for fleet and public charging.

Lastly, Delta is demonstrating its readiness to support the establishment of a robust information and communications infrastructure.

The company’s ICT solutions, including prefabricated and edge data centers, as well as 5G telecommunication infrastructure, are designed to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability in the age of digital transformation.
