The Federal Real Estate Agency (BImA), Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben and E.ON Drive are driving the expansion of eMobility in Germany’s public sector.
In this regard, by the second quarter of 2027, they will install 7,000 charging points at government-owned sites, including ministries, research institutes, and the Federal Network Agency.
E.ON Drive’s mission is to support the federal administration on its path towards climate-friendly mobility.
It is worth noting that the company will install smart charging infrastructure, ranging from fast chargers to wall boxes, with intelligent load management.
All charging points will operate on 100% green energy to ensure sustainable charging.
Brigitte Bourscheidt, Spartenleiterin FM at Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben, states: “Electromobility is a key factor in climate protection. As the federal government’s real estate company, it is essential for us to support the electrification of government fleets in the best possible way.”
Meanwhile, Christoph Ebert, Head of E.ON Drive DACH, comments: “We are creating convenient charging solutions for both government employees and visitors.”
With dynamic prioritisation, fleet vehicles receive priority charging, while guests can charge flexibly, ensuring maximum efficiency.
