As part of SMEG’s EVzen initiative, EVBox has been chosen to provide 300 Troniq Modular fast-charging stations, ranging from 120 to 180 kilowatts, to be installed at over 100 commercial sites across France.

As the leading energy infrastructure operator in Monaco for over 130 years, SMEG established its electric vehicle charging (EV) subsidiary, EVzen, to support its customers in France and Monaco in transitioning to electric mobility.

It is worth noting that the collaboration between EVBox and SMEG began in 2019 to provide EVBox BusinessLine stations for commercial purposes in Monaco.

Since the summer of 2021, SMEG has been deploying the first stages of its own EVzen fast-charging network in southern France, largely based on EVBOX hardware.

Now, EVBox and SMEG have once again joined forces for the second stage of the EVzen network deployment. The installations will be added to SMEG’s EVzen network, which already has 150 fast-charging ports in France.

The main aim of this collaboration is to advance fast-charging infrastructure in rural and urban areas where there is high demand for on-the-go charging.

“SMEG’s DNA is reliability and customer orientation. That is why we seek to further strengthen our partnership with EVBox, in whom we have full confidence and with whom we are working hand in hand to massively deploy fast charging throughout France,” said Anthony Dupont, Director of Electric Mobility at SMEG.

He continued, “We are convinced that together we can offer electric vehicle drivers an ideal charging experience across France.”

Meanwhile, Amélie Trégouet, EVBox’s Regional Director for France, commented, “Our strong collaboration with SMEG over the years has met the diverse needs of EV drivers, from the initial installation of commercial electric vehicle charging to the now-public fast-charging infrastructure.”

“With our extensive portfolio, we are committed to providing EV charging solutions tailored to the needs of each business. We are pleased to continue working with SMEG’s EVzen network to empower businesses and make electric vehicle charging accessible,” she added.
