FreeWire Technologies announced a collaboration with GM Energy to expedite the implementation of ultra-fast charging infrastructure for GM Envolve fleets and commercial customers nationwide.

FreeWire offers ultra-fast charging solutions that can be swiftly implemented with minimal infrastructure upgrades.

The “Boost Charger” can be deployed within days, without the need for costly construction or electrical upgrades.

This is an ideal solution for customers requiring ultra-fast charging but with limited on-site power, facing lengthy construction timelines or expensive network capacity upgrades, or renting the property where they plan to install the charger.

This agreement will also enable GM Envolve to offer commercial customers a turnkey energy transition package that includes vehicles and a charging solution tailored to their specific needs.

“We applaud the work GM Energy is doing to drive the national energy transition and provide comprehensive solutions to its customers,” said Arcady Sosinov, CEO and founder of FreeWire.

“This collaboration between FreeWire and GM Energy will provide customers with a comprehensive electrification solution that will help them transition efficiently to a more sustainable future,” he added.

GM Energy will begin offering FreeWire charging solutions in early 2024.
