Moveclean’s ambition in the Spanish market: Why invest in electromobility?

Six months after entering the electromobility sector, Josechu Elosúa, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Moveclean, tells Mobility Portal España about the company's strategy, which seeks to differentiate itself through its focus on quality, transparency and availability. Below are all the details.
Moveclean's ambition in the Spanish market: Why invest in electromobility?

Josechu Elosúa, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Moveclean, a company that installs chargers for electric vehicles, enters the world of electromobility with a clear mission: to offer quality and service “every day of the year, 24 hours a day”

“I started this project in March of this year, motivated by a change in my career after more than 20 years in the financial sector,” he explains.

At the beginning of May, his partner Ignacio Barbadillo López joined the firm, bringing his international experience as a senior manager in various companies.

Why invest in this sector?

Despite not knowing the industry except as an electric car user, Elosúa aspires to get involved in an area that allows him to contribute to society , creating an ecosystem that improves, even in a small way, the quality of life of individuals.

“I was surprised to see that people buy an electric vehicle not only because of the savings it represents, but also because of environmental awareness and the reduction in air pollution,” he told Mobility Portal España .

It is worth mentioning that transport contributes to 23 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions, of which the European Union is expected to reduce by 55 per cent by 2030 and completely by 2035.

In this sense, Moveclean does not focus on a short period.

“We are not a company that is set up with the aim of selling in five years, but we are here thinking about creating a great company for the long term,” emphasizes Elosúa.

What is your strategy? Not only to be competitive in terms of price, but, above all, to offer a comprehensive service that stands out for its quality.

To this end, the company has a protocol for action that installers must follow to the letter in order to provide a service that meets the highest standards.

The company also supervises all installations to ensure their correct execution and corroborate that all quality criteria are met.

And not only that.

One of its pillars is to have availability throughout the year.

“If a client requests the installation of a charger, we prepare the budget and commit to a free first visit. If the client approves, we carry out the installation within 24 hours,” explains the CEO.

Therefore, installers must remain ready at all times.

The firm’s ultimate goal is to avoid any setbacks, so it takes all necessary measures to not reject any request and to maintain transparency, one of the keys to standing out from the competition.

From the start, the company has made sure not to resort to external financing, opting instead to self-finance, a decision that Josechu Elosúa considers fundamental.

To monetize and generate recurring revenue, among other services and agreements, Moveclean offers annual maintenance contracts

In order to strengthen its commercial network, it has established a figure called “premium ambassador”.

What does it consist of? “These are people we trust completely and who we have trained to prescribe the business,” he answers.

The firm has already established key agreements with national manufacturers such as Veltium Smart Chargers, V2C and Orbis, in addition to collaborating with specialized engineering firms, such as Dhemax and Manglai.

With these agreements, the company aims to cover all market needs, covering everything from residential installations to the heavy vehicle sector.

As well as contributing their grain of sand to the local economy.

In fact, Spain has charging point producers with a market share of more than 20 per cent in Europe and a turnover of more than 300 million euros in 2022, according to the latest figures published by the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (AEDIVE).

We are looking to close additional agreements , especially in the field of heavy transport,” anticipates the company representative.

Currently, Moveclean has offices in Madrid and Malaga, but handles requests throughout the country.

“Our values are transparency, honesty and quality, offering a service that the client can always trust,” says Elosúa.

And he concludes: “We are in no hurry, we just want to do things right.”
