Recently, Slovakia inaugurated the first ZSE Drive – Skupina ZSE public charging point for electric trucks.
It is located at the EMPARK Trnava facilities, which offer comprehensive services for freight transport drivers at the level of the most developed countries in Western Europe.
It is the only truck parking lot in Slovakia that meets the safety requirements for truck parking and has TAPA PSR 3 certification.
The benefits of this station include that vehicles do not need to disconnect the semi-trailer during charging, it allows for two-way vehicle charging, and serves as preparation for other charging stations.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of ZSE Drive – Skupina ZSE, EMPARK Trnava, Trnavský samosprávny kraj, and Daimler Truck & Bus Slovakia, which has been testing its vehicles for almost a year and a half under real conditions of specific clients in the country.
“All that remains is to wish many satisfied customers this first step in the field of public charging for truck transport and to add that within the Slovak Electric Vehicle Association (SEVA), we are working intensively to create the necessary number of similar charging points not only on highways but also along first-class roads in the near future, so that electric freight transport can serve all of Slovakia without any problems,” SEVA stateS.
