The American car manufacturer Tesla has announced that, starting from Friday, 22nd March, the price of its Model Y will increase by “approximately 2,000 euros” or its equivalent in other currencies “in several countries in Europe”.
The company made the announcement on the social network X without specifying the countries where they will raise the prices of their electric model, after announcing a price increase for their model in the United States of 1,000 dollars (1,089 euros).

This has prompted customers to visit their website to secure their order for this car at the current price, which in Spain is marketed from 42,760 euros.
The Model Y closed 2023 as the best-selling electric car in Spain, with 6,833 units sold, a 266.2 per cent increase compared to the previous year, according to data from the Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers (Anfac).
This Tesla model, which offers a WLTP range of over 400 kilometers, is also the second best-selling so far this year (January and February) with 956 units, behind the other Model 3.
The American company had announced in January that its entry-level Model Y, with rear-wheel drive and 455 kilometers of range (WLTP), was reducing its price to below 43,000 euros, which, including the incentives from Spain’s Moves Ill Plan for scrapping an old car (7,000 euros), could reach a price of 35,760 euros.
