Zunder, the charging point operator from Palencia, has won the tender from VINCI Autoroutes to build and operate three new electric vehicle charging stations at three service areas in France.

Aire du Val-de-Cher (Indre-et-Loire) will be accessible from the A85 in both directions. It will feature 25 charging points with powers of up to 400 kilowatts and will be equipped with a photovoltaic canopy.

The Bourges-Marmagne Zone (Cher), located on the A71 towards Orleans, will have the same features.

Meanwhile, Aire de Sarthe-Touraine (Sarthe) will be accessible from the A28 in both directions and will be equipped with two charging points with powers of up to 180 kilowatts.

All three stations will be fully powered by green energy and compatible with the latest technologies (Auto-Charge, Plug&Charge, Android Auto, Car Play, Apple Watch).

Zunder is changing the way we move. Our mission is to democratise ultra-fast charging, and we are proud to do so beyond our borders,” says Daniel Pérez, CEO of the company.

He continues, “France is a country that has often inspired us in terms of decarbonising transport, and it is a country where we now offer our ultra-fast charging services to all electric vehicle users on French territory.”

This tender represents a new step for Zunder in its expansion beyond the Iberian Peninsula and in its goal to become the reference charging network for all electric vehicle users in Southern Europe.
