eMobility milestone! MOON charging stations deliver over 237,000 kWh in 2024

A significant portion of this success stems from the installation of high-power public charging stations, equipped with chargers offering up to 300 kW. Here are the details.
MOON

Between January 1 and October 31, 2024, MOON’s public charging stations delivered an impressive 237,132 kWh of energy, contributing to a cumulative total of 459,534 kWh since the brand’s inception.

Operated by Porsche Holding Salzburg and represented in Portugal by SIVA, these milestones highlight the expansion of electric mobility infrastructure in the country.

A key driver of this success is the deployment of high-power public charging stations, featuring chargers capable of delivering up to 300 kW.

A standout example is the fast-charging hub in Évora, offering energy at a competitive rate of €0.25/kWh, indexed to electricity costs. These advancements position MOON as a pivotal player in the development of public EV charging infrastructure.

MOON’s charging solutions for businesses have also achieved notable growth. During the first ten months of 2024, AC chargers connected to MOON’s advanced management platform delivered 444,222 kWh of energy, bringing the total to 749,067 kWh since the program’s launch.

This reflects the growing adoption of intelligent charging solutions by businesses with electrified fleets.

Innovative tools for fleet management

MOON continues to emphasize the importance of smart, integrated chargers and advanced management platforms for companies transitioning to electric fleets.

These systems enable fleet managers to monitor energy consumption in real-time, generate detailed reports, and implement energy management strategies efficiently.

“Beyond optimizing available energy, the MOON platform provides business customers with tools that enhance operational efficiency while reducing electricity costs. In environments where balanced energy distribution and consumption control are crucial, these solutions are vital for maintaining operational stability,” the company stated.

Miguel Branco, Fleet Sales Manager at SIVA, highlighted the transformation in the electric mobility sector: We must evolve, perhaps even reinvent the business model, to meet the growing demands of the sector.

As demand for EV charging continues to rise, MOON is well-positioned to support both public and corporate customers with reliable, efficient, and innovative solutions.

The brand’s focus on high-power charging stations and intelligent energy management platforms underscores its commitment to leading the transition toward sustainable mobility in Portugal.
