Nima Energy, whose mission is to plan and deliver future charging infrastructure across the Nordic countries and Northern Europe, is celebrating the start of construction on its sixth site in Stockholm.
Located in Kista, on Danmarksgatan—just next to Kista Centrum and Kista Galleria—this new facility will feature six ultra-rapid charging points, each with a capacity of 300 kilowatts.
The site will be ready for ultra-rapid charging in just a few weeks, with the official opening date to be announced shortly.
It is worth noting that the site is being built in close collaboration with Ellevio.
“Together, we are taking the next step in strengthening Stockholm’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure,” says representatives from Nima Energy.
It’s also important to highlight that, at the end of 2024, Nima Energy opened a strategically located site in Stockholm Alvik, just outside the city centre, alongside Road 275 and near the E20 at Drottningholmsvägen 175 in Alvik, Stockholm.
That location features 14 ultra-rapid 300 kilowatts charging points and is currently the second-largest charging site in Stockholm—surpassed only by Nima’s site on Valhallavägen, which includes 16 stations, making it the largest in the city.
The Alvik project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and partially supported by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) through the Klimatklivet initiative.
Once the Kista site is completed, Nima will have a total of 56 ultra-rapid 300 kW charging points strategically distributed across Stockholm, located in Wennerbergsgatan (four points), Valhallavägen (16), Dag Hammarskjölds väg (eight), Alvik (14), Vita Bergen (eight), and Kista (six).
