Puntos Recarga Madrid doubles figures year after year and defines next objectives

Since its creation, the company specialized in implementing charging points for electric vehicles has become a reference in the domestic sector. Iván Ramírez González, one of Puntos Recarga Madrid founders, reveals the history of the company, its main strategies and steps.
Puntos Recarga Madrid doubles figures year after year and defines next objectives

“For a small company like ours, reaching 1,000 installations in just one year is truly remarkable. We are pleased with these numbers,” says Iván Ramírez González, Director of Business and Commercial Development at Puntos Recarga Madrid (PRM).

Although the company’s partners have been placing plugs for more than 10 years, it was only in 2020 that they decided to create PRM, with the aim of generating their own clients, without any type of intermediaries.

Regarding the evolution of the firm, the expert points out: “When we started we made more than 200 installations, then in 2021 we reached around 300, in 2022 there were 600 and last year we set up 1,000 points.”

Thus, within the eMobility market they found their place in the implementation of chargers for private customers, both in family homes and also in community garages.

In addition, they work for charging network companies, such as Repsol or Zunder, who “subcontract us and we carry out installations for them.”

A five star company

A factor that Ramírez González links to the success that Puntos Recarga Madrid unleashed is “the personal treatment we have with each client.”

“Nowadays, most people have a lot of uncertainty when it comes to buying an electrified car. For this reason, we try to resolve all doubts from the first moment,” details the specialist.

And it informs Mobility Portal España that the good functioning of the company is the result of a large number of “satisfied customers.”

In this way, they have already obtained more than 500 stars from Google reviews, a parameter that many Spaniards take into account when hiring a company that installs chargers.

“They have installed a charging point for us and it works perfectly. Very professional both in treatment, contact and budget, as well as in installation. 100 per cent recommended,” says a Puntos Recarga Madrid client.

How does the Moves Plan influence the next steps of Puntos Recarga Madrid?

Although they closed 2023 with “good numbers”, the firm’s executives are still analyzing the scenario that will take shape this year in the electric mobility market.

In this sense, the Director of business and commercial development of the brand explains: “We must see how the whole issue of the subsidy comes about.”

The truth is that the Moves III Plan has only a few months left to live, since its end date is scheduled for July 31

Given this context, the sector shows uncertainty not only in relation to the aid, but also in how the market will behave.

A positive development occurred during the “Investments and new eMobility projects in Spain” event.

It was when Adriano Mones Bayo, CharIn Ambassador, hinted that the launch of the Moves Plan is scheduled for the second semester of this year, “provided that certain conditions are met.”

Changes demanded by the sector in subsidies

Looking ahead to the fourth call, certain modifications are expected , such as the possibility of the incentive being direct, with a deduction at the time of purchasing the electric vehicle.

“I do not find it to have an incentivizing character at present,” considers Iván Ramírez González.

Among the facilities that the administration could provide, the eMobility influencer mentions the creation of a unified map of charging points “so as not to have to download ten applications on the mobile phone”.

Another necessary key point highlighted is the signage on the road “like there is at petrol stations” to improve the experience of electric car charger users.
